Adserve has moved to the new DDS data centre and European headquarters. Located on Bankside, overlooking Tate Modern, and designed by 11.04 Architects, it embraces the latest thinking on efficient working and reduced environmental impact.

'The move has been a great opportunity to integrate Adserve further into the DDS group, plus we get all the benefits of the new environment,' says Chris Harris-Watts, Adserve MD. Henry Lawson, DDS president, takes up the story: 'We wanted an ergonomic and comfortable European HQ that was flexible enough to grow with DDS. Our new office gives us this, with a range of spaces for different styles of working, from formal meetings to more relaxed dialogue and collaboration. Being completely open-plan it removes hierarchy and enhances communication,' says Henry Lawson, CEO, DDS.
The move also involved relocating the DDS data centre, one of the biggest in Europe. The system shut down on the Friday evening and was up and running early the following Monday. As a precaution the company's business continuity site at IBM Greenford was on standby to handle any unforeseen circumstances. 'The move was the culmination of a year's planning and intensive work in the past two months in particular. I'm delighted to say that everything went well,' says Ray Lear, data centre director.

'11.04 was given an exciting and challenging brief by DDS,' says Chris Roche, 11.04’s design director, 'to create an intelligent modern office environment, using recycled, natural, and sustainable materials and technology. 11.04 was also asked to create a working environment that would be both comfortable and satisfying for staff and visitors. Collaboration was key to the success of the project, and the result is a credit to the client, and everyone involved in the realisation of the project.'
Chris Roche goes on to say: 'Clients increasingly realise the value of intelligent office design, and the impact it can have on company performance and employee satisfaction. Enhanced staff amenity has been a priority, and a great deal of thought has gone into making the environment work harder in terms of facilitating communication, and encouraging positive experiences.'
